DCI Managing Director at Dredging in India Event

Dredging Corporation of India Limited (DCI) has capacity to meet the lion’s share of India’s maintenance and capital dredging market, according to the DCI’s Managing Director, Shri Rajesh Tripathi.

Addressing the delegates of the ‘Tenth Annual Conference on Dredging in India’ in Mumbai, he said that after the takeover of DCI by a consortium of four ports, in their interest now is a geographical expansion along with diversification into shallow water dredging, marine construction, sand mining, dredging aggregates, marine consultancy, etc.

With the Center’s recent impetus to Inland Waterways Development, Sagarmala Project, coastal development, upcoming green field ports and consideration of new section of Indian rivers under the Indo-Bangladesh Protocol, DCI is poised for a higher growth trajectory, he said.

At the event, Shri Tripathi also informed the delegates that DCI is unique in its repertoire of specialist knowledge in environment friendly dredging techniques.

The annual conference on Dredging In India is being held at Mumbai from September 4-5, highlighting the emerging trends and opportunities and discussing key challenges in the dredging sector in the country.
