Curtin Maritime Corporation has been selected as the best bidder for the Crescent City Harbor maintenance dredging project in California.

According to the FedBizOpps , this $2.9 million contract was awarded by the Army Corps’ San Francisco District.

The work consists of maintenance dredging in the Crescent City Harbor federal navigation channels.

The Entrance Channel project depth of -20-ft plus 1-ft of paid overdepth contains a total of approximately 51,700 cubic yards of dredged material to be disposed at Whaler Island, reported the Army Corps.

USACE also added that the Inner Harbor Basin Channel project depth of -15-ft plus 1-ft of paid overdepth contains approximately 12,100 cubic yards of dredged material to be disposed at the Humboldt Open Ocean Disposal Site (HOODS).

They concluded by saying that all dredging material transportation and material placement shall be in accordance with the project plans, specifications, permits, regulatory guidance and applicable contract clauses.
