Portsmouth City Council, Eastern Solent Coastal Partnership (ESCP), Balfour Beatty – as well as other partners that are working on the project – have released this video which illustrates emerging design proposals for the new sea defenses along 4.5km of seafront in Southsea.

According to the officials, the new defenses are aimed to reduce the risk of flooding for over 8000 properties in Southsea for the next century.

They also added that the designs presented in the video have been developed taking public views into account.

Deadline for sending comments on the proposed work is August 27, 2018.
