The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Mobile District, is scheduled to release a tentatively selected flood risk management plan for the Sweetwater Creek Watershed in Georgia for public and agency review on April 6.

According to their release, USACE’s district will host two Open House meetings in the watershed on April 9 and April 10 to present the findings of the Tentatively Selected Plan (TSP).

Following the release of the TSP, a 30-day comment period will begin for the public to provide feedback.

Comments received from the public will be used, along with feedback from federal, state and local agencies, in the preparation of a final flood risk management plan for Sweetwater Creek.

The deadline to submit public comments to USACE is May 6.
