FSUE Rosmorport has just announced the results of the limited participation competition to select a general contractor that will build new international marine terminal in Pionersky, Kaliningrad Region.

According to the company, the winner of the contract worth over $125 million is Bolwerk LLC.

Overall the new sea terminal project includes, berth constructions works, coastal protection, protecting structures, reclaiming 5.16 hectares of new land, aids to navigation, crossing points objects, a passenger terminal building, onshore facilities and coastal sites.

Moreover, dredging operations are also planned to be carried out under the project in the amount of 1.2 million cbm.

The new sea terminal in Pionersky will enable the region to boost passenger traffic to 305,000 people a year, and increase Ro-Ro volumes to 80,000 units, which will ultimately contribute to the dynamic development of the Kaliningrad region in seaborne traffic and cruise passenger transport.

FSUE Rosmorport reports that the construction and installation works are planned to begin within the next few weeks.
