Redwise, HUTA: Two Cutter Suction Dredgers Delivered to Ras al-Khair

The two self-propelled cutter suction dredgers, HUTA 12 (built by Royal IHC in 2014) and HUTA 14 (built 1986 by Orenstein & Koppel), were recently delivered by Redwise Maritime Services BV from King Abdullah Port to Ras al-Khair, Redwise said in its latest release.

“ Neither of the dredgers was new to Redwise, having delivered the HUTA 12 on her maiden voyage from her builders Royal IHC to her first working site at King Abdullah Port or the HUTA 14 we need to go much longer back in history, with the delivery voyage under own power from Amsterdam to Hong Kong in 1988 ,” the company said.

According to Redwise, the HUTA 14 achieved a substantial higher speed during transit, not unpleasant passing the High Risk Area in the Indian Ocean.

In a cooperation with HUTA, the dredgers were made ready for their passages, whereby Redwise provided the management of the voyages, masters, deck officers and senior engineers from Redwise own resources, together with the security arrangement, vessel hardening and reporting.
