Dingwall Meeting to Discuss River Peffery Flood Protection

Business & Finance

The Highland Council has invited the Dingwall and Blairninich residents to attend a public exhibition highlighting proposals for flood prevention measures along the River Peffery.

The council is currently developing a Flood Protection Study (FPS) for the river to identify solutions that will alleviate the risk of flooding to locations in Blairninich and Dingwall.

The exhibition, which takes place from 12 noon until 7pm on Monday, 28 August, at Dingwall Town Hall, will show members of the public what types of measures are currently being considered, their locations and their impacts.

“Staff from The Highland Council and consultants CH2M will be at the exhibition to discuss the measures, answer any questions and gather any initial comments from people to the various proposals at this early stage,” the organizers stated.
