Tammany Creek Improvement Project Begins

Business & Finance

Work to improve the Tammany Creek trailhead entrance to Hells Gate Habitat Management Unit, near Lewiston, Idaho, is set to begin today, according to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

During the project, the Corps maintenance staff will use heavy construction vehicles and equipment to gravel Tammany Creek trailhead’s eroding entrance.

The trailhead improvement project is anticipated to take about three weeks to complete.

To help minimize safety risks, the work zone will be closed to public access during the first two weeks of work, while construction equipment is being operated.

Crossing work-zone barriers could present a potential risk to life-safety.
