Italian-Chinese Consortium Bags Venice Offshore Port Project

An Italian-Chinese consortium, led by the China Communication Constructions Company Group (CCCC), has won the bid for the design of Phase 1 of Venice Offshore Port project.

The consortium of CCCC, 3TI and eAmbiente was part of an international solicitation which involved the best engineering firms from Italy, France, Spain, Holland, Belgium, Great Britain and the United States.

The project, owned by the Venice Port Authority, involves the capital construction design of a container terminal in Phase 1 of Venice Offshore Port, including breakwater, container terminal, service zone, electric, water supply and drainage, environmental protection, communication and control design, as well as survey and environmental monitoring.

The total contract period for the proposed work is 300 days, including 180 days for monitoring activities and environmental surveys.

This is the first capital construction project won by CCCC in the EU market.
