The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Buffalo District and Lake County Utilities, along with Congressman David Joyce and Lake County Commissioners recently signed a Project Partnership Agreement to design a 600-foot stone revetment on the Lake Erie.

The new stone revetment is designed to protect the Lake County Raw Water Pump Station water intake from the harsh waves of the lake.

The Project Partnership Agreement signing ceremony between the Corps and Lake County Utilities was held on September 12, 2016.

The agreement reflects each party’s willingness to be involved in the design and construction of a 600-foot stone revetment, protecting the Lake County Raw Water Pump Station water intake from the harsh waves of Lake Erie.

The project will ensure that drinking water to 40,000 people is not interrupted.
