Port Angeles Contract for Orion Marine

Orion Group Holdings, Inc., a Houston based construction company, has announced that their heavy civil marine construction segment, Orion Marine Group, was recently awarded a $25.6 million contract by the Naval Facilities Engineering Command of Silverdale, Washington.

The project, to be undertaken together with Watts Constructors, entails constructing a pile-supported approach trestle and pier for the P-993 Transit Protection System Forward Operating Location near the Ediz Hook of Port Angeles, Washington.

Watts Constructors is the managing partner of the joint venture and Orion Marine Group’s portion of award includes approximately $12.5 million.

Project construction will begin in October 2016 with a duration of approximately 16 months.

Orion Group Holdings provides services both on and off the water in the continental United States, Alaska, Canada and the Caribbean Basin through its heavy civil marine construction segment and its commercial concrete segment.
