Damar Laut Basin Dredging Work Underway

The Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) has just released an update on the Damar Laut Basin dredging project. The Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) has just released an update on the Damar Laut Basin dredging project.

According to the MPA notice, the dredging work is being carried out by grab dredgers Tarvos, Greip and Bestla.

The dredged materials will be transported to the designated dumping ground by hopper barges assisted by tug boats.

Works on the project started on July 1st with the expected completion set for December 31st 2016.

Safety boats will be deployed in the vicinity of the working areas to warn other craft of the project.
