Neumann Contractors Pty Ltd, a Gold Coast-based dredging contractor, has just released a video about the recently completed Iluka Boat Harbor dredging project.
This cleanup scheme included maintenance dredging operations with the main goal to remove the accumulated sediment from both the navigation channels and within the boat harbor.
During the project, Neumann removed approximately 27,000 m³ of marine sediment from the Iluka Boat Harbor and the approach channel.
The dredged material was pumped up to 2 km to a deposition area adjacent to Main Beach.
Neumann’s new cutter suction dredger Nu Discovery, a land based booster pump and support vessels were mobilized to site.
