Last Saturday, DEME Group’s two vessels, the Innovation and Congo River, were used as the stage for a corporate event in Antwerp.

The company moored jack-up vessel Innovation and trailing suction hopper dredger Congo River in Antwerp in order to celebrate the recent “Company of the Year 2015” (Onderneming van het Jaar) award.

It was an unique experience for DEME employees, colleagues and guests to climb on board and see these impressive vessels.

For the 21st time, EY, in collaboration with De Tijd and BNP Paribas Fortis, organised the event of the ‘Onderneming van het Jaar®’. The event honors companies that distinguish themselves by impressive growth and an eye for innovation, an international presence, entrepreneurship, strategic vision and perseverance.

DEME Chairman Luc Bertrand and CEO Alain Bernard received the award from Federal Vice-Premier and Minister of Work Kris Peeters.
