During the 2014/15 winter, Lymington Yacht Haven in Hampshire undertook a major dredging program.
To ensure the marina maintains a depth of 2.5 m below Chart Datum the area is being dredged every winter. This ongoing investment ensures that the marina remains accessible at all states of the tide.
As part of a 5 yearly dredging plan and following a bathymetric survey in late 2014, pontoons M and N were dredged in January and February 2015.
The dredging restored both pontoon fairways and berths to a minimum of 2.5 m below Chart Datum.
Yacht Havens Group has a long history with dredging, especially in Lymington. In the 1960’s, Boskalis Dredging Group were originally commissioned to dredge a new marina in Lymington; the marina is still in the same family ownership today.
