The Airport Authority is planning to expand Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) into a three-runway system to meet its long-term air traffic demand.

The project, which is estimated to cost $141.5 billion, will require the reclamation of 650 hectares of land and construction is expected to start next year.

After its expansion into a three-runway system, HKIA will continue to provide world-class service and facilities, ensuring its place as an airport of the future.
