IADC Celebrates 50th Anniversary

The International Association of Dredging Companies (IADC) celebrates its 50th anniversary.

IADC’s Secretary General, René Kolman, has revealed the 50th anniversary activities planned for 2015:

A special conference in Hong Kong: ‘From Birth to Boom: Asian Maritime Megastructures’

The program consists of presentations by keynote speakers, discussions and networking opportunities. Over a hundred high calibre guests are expected to attend the Conference and the pre-Conference Networking evening event.

Book: ‘Beyond Sand and Sea’

The book will contain project descriptions and photographs on 50 projects that have been carried out over the last 50 years. These projects have been carefully selected by the IADC members.

Social media

To engage all those involved and/or interested in the dredging industry various social media actions, including a photographic competition, to win a copy of the limited 50th anniversary book, will be run.

Dredging Seminar

Not only does the IADC celebrate its 50th anniversary, the IADC’s Seminar on Dredging and Reclamation celebrates its 50th edition in Delft, the Netherlands.

Terra et Aqua

Each Terra et Aqua to be published in 2015 will pay special attention to the 50th anniversary. Terra et Aqua is IADC’s quarterly journal and contains articles on dredging and dredging related matters.
