Brisbane Hosts ‘Coasts and Marine Structures’

Business & Finance

‘Coasts and Marine Structures’ conference will take place from 23-25 March, 2015, at Pullman Brisbane King George Square, Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.

Times are changing for the Coast and Marine industry, over the last 15 years the mining construction boom has allowed the industry to expand rapidly and enjoy record-breaking demands for increased services.

But as they say, what goes up must come down and with mining entering the completion phase of expansion projects and shifting its focus to production costs, this growth period has slowed significantly.

Also, international trade continues to grow in volume thus pressurising capacity limits; meaning regional and capital city port expansion projects are expected to allow the industry to regain some diversity in major markets, agriculture in particular, and promises to create opportunities over the next five years.
