On Thursday 11 December 2014, the Province of North Holland will be holding the water innovation conference WaterinnovatioNH in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
The conference is organised in collaboration with Topsector Water, Rijkswaterstaat, Water Board Hollands Noordekwartier, Rijnland District Water Control Board, Water Board Amstel, Gooi and Vecht, water company Waternet and water supply company PWN.
Future water challenges
Around the world, numerous countries are confronted with water management issues as a result of climate change and social and spatial developments. The Dutch provincie of North-Holland has unique geographic circumstances, also facing many of these challenges – both today and in the decades ahead.
To effectively anticipate these complex issues – and to use water in a sustainable way – Noord-Holland will need to innovate further.
National and international knowledge exchange
WaterinnovatioNH offers a platform for knowledge exchange between national and international policymakers, executives from the corporate and SME sectors, and knowledge institutes.
The objective of the conference is to promote mutual inspiration and to present new solutions that form major steps forward in the effective management of water issues.
