The Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) will begin maintenance dredging operations today at Little Lagoon Pass.

Dredge spoils will be pumped from the pass and placed on nearby beaches to restore sand lost during severe winter storms earlier this year.

These operations are expected to be conducted over the next two months, Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Homes within 1,500 feet west of the pass may experience temporary impacts during this time.
