Senator Announces Coastal Restoration Forum in New Orleans

U.S. Senator David Vitter said that he will host a forum today to discuss flood protection, coastal restoration, and the recent passage of the Water Resources Reform and Development Act with constituents in Orleans Parish.

I’ve made it one of my top priorities to travel around the state and visit with Louisianians in every parish,” Vitter said. “I’m looking forward to productive conversations about providing adequate hurricane and floor protection, restoring our coasts, and growing good jobs throughout Louisiana with the recent passage of the WRRDA.

Vitter has made keeping in touch with Louisiana residents his top priority and holds a town hall meeting or forum in all 64 parishes every Congress. Vitter has held over 360 town hall meetings since he was first elected.

The meeting, named Orleans Parish Flood Protection Forum, will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. CT, at UNO Homer Hitt Alumni Center, Ballroom, 200 Lakeshore Drive, New Orleans.
