Swinomish Channel in Need of Dredging

According to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Seattle District, approximately 65,000 cubic yards of sediment will be dredged from the Swinomish Channel from September 2014 until February 2015.

This deepening scheme will involve clamshell dredging in the southern channel near Goat Island and Skagit Bay with placement of the dredged material at the Rosario Strait PSDDA Site.

The total value of the project will be between $500,000 and $1 million, and the estimated award date is late June or early July 2014.
