Egypt: Dredger “Werner Mobius” Arrives at Damietta Port

Admiral Abdul Kader Darwish, chairman of Damietta Port Authority, said that the dredger “Werner Mobius” arrived at the Port of Damietta two days ago with the task to remove sediment from the access channel of the port.

Chairman said that the main goal of this dredging program is to maintain the depths of the Port of Damietta access channel and to clear the way for the larger vessels.

Damietta Port is situated 8.5 km west of the Nile River of Damietta branch westward Ras El-Bar, and it is located 70 km away from Port Said.
