Upper Charleston Harbor in Need of Dredging

Approximately 2,314,000 cubic yards of unclassified material will be dredged soon from Upper Charleston Harbor.

According to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Charleston District, the dredged material will be deposited in the Clouter Creek Disposal Area, Highway and South Cells.

The solicitation for this contract will be posted on or about 12 May 2014 with bids due about 12 June 2014.

The total value of the Upper Charleston Harbor dredging scheme is between $5 mln and $10 mln.

These dredging works will comply with the requirements of the Endangered Species Act and the Marine Mammals Protection Act.
