Yemen, China Discuss Port of Aden Dredging Plan

Planning and International Cooperation Minister Mohammed al-Saadi today met with the Director General of Soft Loans Department in the Chinese Bank of Exports and Imports.

During the meeting, they discussed a number of issues related to cooperation between Yemen and the Chinese Bank and ways of strengthening and developing them in order to serve the common interests.

The two sides also reviewed the details related to the projects that the bank is contributing to financing in Yemen, remarkably the project of deepening and drilling the Port of Aden as well as activating understandings signed last December during the historic visit of President Abdo Rabbo Mansour Hadi to China.

For his part, the Chinese official affirmed the Chinese bank’s keenness to contribute to actively developing the existing cooperation between Yemen and China.
