Caterpillar has introduced its new Cat ® 336F excavator, built to meet U.S. EPA Tier 4 Final emissions standards.

This piece of equipment comes equipped with several features to enhance fuel efficiency. Electric boom and stick regeneration valves capture and recycle energy, and an engine idle shutdown setting turns the engine off after a specified amount of idle time.

Additionally, the operator can reduce engine speed to idle with the touch of a button to help save fuel, plus an economy power mode helps the operator manage and conserve fuel.

To maintain high productivity and fuel efficiency, the C9.3 ACERT™ engine is equipped with an exhaust aftertreatment regeneration system that ensures the machine works as normal with no operator intervention needed. This means the operator can stay focused on work with no costly interruption to the job process.

The engine also runs efficiently on biodiesel blends up to B20.
