Singapore: Benoi Basin Dredging to End in June 2014

Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) has announced that the working period of the Benoi Basin dredging project has been extended. The completion is now set for June 30, 2014.

Dredging work will be carried out by the grab dredgers which will be held by 4-point anchoring system.

The dredging vessels, with hopper barges in attendance, will have a circular safety working zone of 50 m radius centered at the dredgers. The dredged materials will be transported to the designated dumping ground by the hopper barges.
