Officials Announce Peterhead Dredging Plan

The Peterhead Port Authority has announced a plan to invite bidders to submit their offers for the Peterhead Harbour dredging project.

This very important venture, which will cost around £40 million, aims to develop the facility into a fully integrated, state-of-the-art fishing hub by 2016.

The development program will include deepening of both the port’s North and South harbours and approaching channels from current depths of -3.5m, up to -7m.

The main goal of the Peterhead Harbour dredging plan is to allow vessels to gain unrestricted access and berthing in safe, weather-protected inner basins.
