Gulf Cobla Bags Gan Dredging Contract

Gulf Cobla, a Dubai-based dredging company, has won a project worth $11.7 million to reconstruct and develop certain areas of the Gan International Airport, reports sun.mv.

The agreement, signed between State Trading Organization Plc. (STO) and Gulf Cobla, includes the lengthening of the Gan International Airport’s runway, the reclamation of a land for new sea plane terminals, and the reinforcement of the shores.

Regarding this plan, STO’s Managing Director Shahid Ali stated: “Dredging will take about 8 months. We predict that the physical work can begin within one month of signing this contract.”

The Managing Director of Gulf Cobla Mr. Joost Post said that his company has already carried out four different projects in the Maldives, and assured that this project will be wrapped up within agreed deadline.
