Following the announcement from Boskalis Offshore about expansion of its capabilities in the cable installation market with the new ‘Trenchformer’, hereby we bring you an animation video of this multi-purpose cable trencher:
Developed by Boskalis and VSMC, the trencher can bury cables in deep waters as well as in shallow areas. Besides working together with cable laying vessels, the Trenchformer can operate as a stand-alone spread.
Currently, the Trenchformer is in its final construction state, scheduled to go for sea trials in May 2013.
