Yancheng Port Dredging Plan Makes Progress (China)

Recently, CCCC First Harbor Consultants Co., Ltd. has signed a contract for engineering supervision of Phase 1 of the coal terminal and Lot JL-02 of the 100,000t waterway project in the Binhai zone of Yancheng Port.

This project is the company’s another large water transport construction supervision project in the Binhai zone of Yancheng Port after the breakwater works of the 100,000t waterway project.

It involves dredging, reclamation, foundation treatment, terminal, dyke and revetment of Phase 1 of the coal terminal, as well as corresponding auxiliary facilities.

The terminal is projected to construct auxiliary facilities such as a 70,000t and a 100,000t coal handling berths, a 35,000t and a 50,000t coal loading berths, two 1,000t inland unloading berths and working vessel berths, with a total annual through capacity of 39 million tons, including a handling capacity of 20 million tons, a sea port loading capacity of 15 million tons and a river port loading capacity of 4 million tons.

The project is expected to be completed in 2015.
