Guizhou province has announced plans to speed up construction of an inter-provincial navigation channel between the Yangtze and to the Pearl rivers, reports Xinhua.
Guizhou aims to build the Wujiang waterway route linking the Yangtze to the Pearl at Panjiang and to the Red River, the Qingshui River and the Duliu River route in the south, according to the Guizhou waterway development plan.
This development plan also includes increasing the capacity of the Yangtze River tributary, Chishui River.
