Dredging Resumes at Snohomish River

The dredging program on the Snohomish River federal navigation channel has resumed this week, reports heraldnet.com.

American Construction Company will remove up to 127,000 cubic yards of material from the mentioned area by clamshell dredging.

According to William Dowell, a spokesman for the federal agency, hydraulic dredging also was done in an area between the Port of Everett Marina and Jetty Island, during December 2012.

The project is expected to be wrapped up by Feb. 15.
