Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) has informed the shipping, harbour craft and pleasure craft communities in Singapore’s waters that the reclamation works at the Pulau Tekong will begin on 10 Jan 2013 and will last until 09 Jul 2013.
These works at the mentioned area will involve dredging, construction of revetment, soil investigation and soil improvement works.
Soil improvement works will entail stabilized dredging, sand piling and deep cement mixing. The cutter-suction dredger will be used for the bund construction within the working area.
Safety boats will be deployed in the vicinity to warn other crafts of the operations in the area.
