The Netherlands: Deltares, Züblin Develop BioSealing

Deltares and Züblin Spezialtiefbau Ges.m.b.H have developed and successfully implemented pilot projects of a solution to seal groundwater leakages in the subsoil using biotechnology.

This BioSealing solution is at the brink of a much wider introduction in the market.

BioSealing is a solution for sealing leakages under:

– Dams and levees,

– Tunnels and underground constructions,

– Water reservoirs (hydro power and drinking water bassins),

– Environmental remediation.
