USA: City of Carrollton Plans Lake Carroll Dredging

City of Carrollton is planning Lake Carroll Dredging, reports times-georgian.com. City of Carrollton is planning Lake Carroll Dredging, reports times-georgian.com.

Dredging is planned to start this fall, and should include clearing of the silt that has built up over the years.

“ Silt is not a huge part of the lake volume, but it’s enough to impact recreational activities ,” Assistant City Manager Tim Grizzard said.

50,000 cubic yards of silt needs to be removed.

The project value is about USD 500,000.

Dredging works would take about six months to finish.
