Indonesia: Pelindo II Gets Nod for Kalibaru Port

The Transportation Ministry says it has given the go-ahead for Kalibaru Port in North Jakarta, reports thejakartapost. Ministry spokesman said that the government gave a construction permit for Kalibaru to Pelindo II (IPC). First phase of the Kalibaru Port construction has to start within one year.

The Transportation Ministry says it has given the go-ahead for Kalibaru Port in North Jakarta, reports thejakartapost.

Ministry spokesman said that the government gave a construction permit for Kalibaru to Pelindo II (IPC).

First phase of the Kalibaru Port construction has to start within one year.

In this period, the operator is expected to build three container terminals and two fuel berths.

Development of Kalibaru is definitely crucial for Indonesia to help sustain economic growth, official says.

Construction of the entire Kalibaru Port will include nine terminals when it is complete in 2023.
