Corps Presents Plan for Tampa Harbor (USA)

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has proposed $8.2 million for operation and maintenance of Tampa Harbor and $8.3 million for dredging disposal.

Tampa Port will receive $12.3 million this fiscal year for harbor operation, maintenance and improvements.

According to Tampa Bay Online, the port has received $136.9 million in funding from the corps since fiscal 2000.

The Tampa Port Authority is holding a workshop at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at Cruise Terminal 6 for input on its strategic plan from tenants and others with ties to the Port of Tampa.

The event is open to the public to observe.
