The dredging of the mouth of Parkers River had been completed, along with the beach renourishment of Sea Gull Beach, according to wickedlocal.com.

Director of natural resources, Karl W. von Hone, said that a total of 9,286 cubic yards of sand was removed from the river and placed on Sea Gull Beach.

This project has raised the profile of the beach by 3.5 feet, which will most certainly prevent regular storm washover. The Barnstable County Dredge conducted the bulk of the work.
