The Bangladesh’s leading shipyards recently have been awarded contracts for the construction of six dredgers.
Details:
– Karnaphuli Ship Builders Limited (KSBL) – 3 dredgers,
– Ananda Shipyard and Slipways Limited – 2 dredgers,
– Western Marine – 1 dredger.
Also, the officials have decided to procure 10 more dredgers for capital dredging projects on the country’s river channels and seaports.
This new government’s dredger procurement plan has opened new chances for the local industry to boost their expertise in the new field.
