Board of Directors of Pasni Fish Harbor at its meeting under the chairmanship of Chief Minsiter Nawab Aslam Raisani has accorded approval for immediate start of harbor revival project. It include dredging of harbor, construction of breakwater wall and other construction work.

It would fully revive Pasni Fish Harbor directly benefitting local fishermen. Experts form Dutch Company Arcadis gave detailed briefing at the meeting of Board of Directors in Islamabad Friday. It was decided that 800 million Rupees Japanese grant would be used judiciously and experts from Arcadis would monitor construction of the project.

It may be recalled here that this company has worldwide fame about building Fish Harbour and has built fish harbours in different countries of the world. Speaking on the occasion Chief Minsiter Nawab Aslam Raisani said that Pansi Fish Harbor is back bone of economy in coastal areas of the province with which thousands of fishermen are associated for their livelihood.

It is regretted that no planning was made in the past to fully activate this harbor which badly affected its utility and fishermens earning ended. He said we are thankful to Government of Japan for providing grant for the restoration of this harbor.
